So there I was, sitting in my hearth, in the showroom, minding my own business. It seemed a day like any other. People came in had a look, deliveries were delivered, coffee was drunk and I dreamed of being chosen to go to a new home where I might make people warm and be shown off to their friends. Little did I know that life had bigger plans for me.
A man came in and started talking to James. He worked for a production company called Mammoth Screen and was after something very specific. Before I could say "burnt toast" I was chosen to star in a new pilot television show "Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death". I was taken and placed in a beautifully designed home named "The Set". There were lots of people around but nobody seemed interested in my flamey flames and my excellent efficiency. My window remained sparkling and clean and my ash pan empty. I started to think there had been a big mistake. I missed my friends at The Fire Basket and the customers that would say "oo that's a nice stove'. Was I really supposed to spend my days here being ignored?
But then, one day I was told I had a very important job, I needed to show off my flamiest of flames as fire was going to be an integral part of the plot. Agatha herself was going to be in mortal peril right infront of my facade! All eyes would be on me, the fire and Miss Raisin's impending doom. Well I rose to the challenge beautifully - so much so that thanks to me and my incredible talents they have commissioned a series in which I will star.
So look out for my new series on Sky 1 this Autumn!
